PARTS WAREHOUSE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Transport needed parts from upper and lower warehouses
- Notify appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.
- Update and locate parts bin locations for new parts.
- Maintain up-to-date parts inventory count sheets.
- Return parts as needed and remove from inventory after credit is received.
- Return cores, damaged/mis-packaged parts to manufacturer
- Assist in bi-monthly parts returns.
- Keep parts area clean and uncluttered.
- Assist in the scrapping and returning of warranty parts.
- Assist in pulling and shipping of all orders.
- Proactively communicate potential issues with Management and other department employees in order to provide the best possible customer experience and ensure that we fix cars right the first time.
- Report to Management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
- Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior to being employed, applicants for employment must participate in RBM’s normal screening process which includes: completing a full employment application; satisfactory criminal, credit and driving records checks (where applicable); in-person interviews and other inquiries.
- High school diploma or the equivalent and authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
- Previous experience working in a similar role is preferred.
- All applicants must have a current and valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and must be insurable.
- Basic communication and problem solving skills; Basic mathematical skills using American units of measure.
- Physical demands include: constantly position body and move in order to handle packages, inventory, and complete job duties; drive golf cart or parts delivery vehicles, detect and identify safety concerns; exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 100lbs occasionally, 65lbs frequently, 25lbs constantly); operate tools and equipment; repetitive motion.
- Work is conducted inside, outside, and in a shop environment in proximity to moving vehicles, mechanical equipment, with exposure to chemicals, and moderate to loud noise levels.
