Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior MEP Lead to join our team. The Senior MEP Lead will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing aspects of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, extensive project management experience, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the MEP design and coordination process, collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee the development of detailed MEP drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements.
- Conduct thorough reviews of MEP designs to ensure compliance with project requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
- Provide technical expertise during project meetings and liaise with clients to understand their specific MEP needs and requirements.
- Manage the MEP project budget, schedule, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee the selection of MEP systems, equipment, and materials, considering efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform site visits and assessments to ensure proper installation and functioning of MEP systems during construction.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in MEP technology, and emerging best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in MEP design and coordination within an architectural or engineering firm.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to lead and coordinate MEP aspects of projects from conception to completion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in MEP design software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.
