Job Description
- Participate in pre-construction activities as needed.
- Act as liaison with the client, architect, consultants and the Department of Building Inspection.
- Interface with site supervisors; look for and implement innovative construction methods.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules.
- Prepare project documents- client change orders, subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, notices, etc.
- Provide assistance coordinating with onsite contractors in planning and coordinating the stages of connecting new systems with existing utility systems.
- Control and monitor subcontractors and monitor their performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Four-year college degree, in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred. Advanced degree desirable.
- Experience with mechanical systems such as Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Domestic Water, Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, and Electrical systems.
- Experience in construction, operation, maintenance, application, properties, and limits of equipment and systems.
- Experience in lighting design for task and architectural purposes.
- Experience in AutoCAD programs for schematic design and presentations.
- 5 years experience in BIM modelling and clash detection.
- Experience with MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Experience with Sage Timberline Project Management or Procore preferred.
- Proficient use of MS Office suit of programs required.
- 10-15 years construction-related experience overseeing projects valuing $50M to $200M.
- Knowledge of fee structure and contract forms.
