VDC Coordinator & Detailing Project Manager:

Kelar Pacific, an Autodesk and Bluebeam Gold Partner, is looking for motivated and competent individuals to join our AECO Project Services Team. The ideal candidates should be knowledgeable, dependable and enthusiastic with a desire to grow professionally.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with the VP & Sr. PM’s to organize project operations to increase efficiencies and accountability.
  • Work in partnership with VP and Biz Dev team on VDC proposals to generate new and repeat business.
  • Support VDC team with BIM Coordination, 3D Revit modeling & detailing, and AutoCAD deliverables.
  • Prepare, document, and execute BIM Project Execution Plans.
  • Act as Project Manager on assigned projects, manage KP project members & outside consultants on assigned projects, log your hours in tracking systems, and monitor others to control cost to meet profitability targets.
  • Work with VP & office staff on project information required for invoicing customers.
  • Follow KP document management processes and procedures.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership & mentoring, as requested, in the Project Services Department.
  • Identify technology best practices that will bring value to projects and develop tools and workflows as needed.
  • Research new technologies and learn how to deliver them to add value to the Project Services Department.
  • Document lessons learned for all design and construction technology strategies deployed on projects.
  • Actively Participate in company meetings.
  • Participate, if requested, in the hiring & recruitment process of Technical Staff at Kelar Pacific and provide your input and recommendations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience leading VDC Coordination meetings & 5 years of Revit detailing and application experience.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction.
  • Practical use of Navisworks & BIM 360 Glue or similar software & cloud platforms during the process of leading VDC Coordination meetings.
  • Practical use of Autodesk Revit software with a focus on MEP at the fabrication level of detail (LOD-400).
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and Studio or similar PDF mark-up solutions.
  • Practical use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, and Teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn and grow with new products and technology.
