Mentoring Coordinator (5845)

LSF is seeking a talented Mentoring Coordinatorwho wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

Purpose and Impact:

Primary responsibility is to enhance and strengthen the CRS Program and establishing greater links with congregations, community services providers, school system, and the health providers.

• Create and implement a comprehensive and innovative annual outreach plan targeting individual, private, corporate, and other
• Work collaborative and seamlessly with local Outreach Coordinators to identify new potential foundation, individual, private, corporate, and other organization
• Facilitate with the approval of the direct supervisor, the assignment of
• Facilitate mentor-mentees meetings quarterly, to provide ongoing support and review of the mentoring
• Facilitate /Set-up mentor
• Determine potential partners relevant to Refugee Services through ongoing research and evaluation and cultivate those prospects that best align with RS strategic short- and long-term priorities and
• Develop marketing plans to recruit new mentors in line with departmental
• Organize and implement public events, meetings, open house information sessions,
• Perform other duties related to the Mentoring program as required by the Program

Other Functions:

• Attend staff meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Florida driver's license and be able to use own vehicle to perform job duties
• Must be able to operate a computer
• Must be able to work late hours when necessary
• Must be able to address groups of people

• Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University.

Experience:

• Previous work with mentors or volunteers a plus
• Knowledge of refugee work desirable
• Knowledge of local community groups and churches necessary
• Must be computer literate

Other:

• Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to relate and work well with people from different cultures
• Ability to utilize discretion
• Must have good program planning skills and be well organized
• Must be able to supervise, coordinate and delegate
• Must be able to convey the need for voluntary services
• Must be articulate and have an enthusiastic attitude

• Report to Program Manager
• Team-player with co-workers and staff
• Adhere to LSF's policies and procedures
• Adhere to confidentiality rules
