Position Summary: The Mental Health Tech serves as a member of the health team in the treatment and care of patients and assists with tasks to support the medical office. The position works under the supervision of an RN/LPN Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments
- Performs patient inventory
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
- Performs secretarial tasks, completes appropriate client company forms, and provides assistance at front desk
- Escorts patients to events away from the facility, such as recreational and other activities
- Consistently records and/or reports to the Lead Care Specialist or Charge Nurse any treatments, results, observations, patient complaints, and other pertinent information
- Obtains accurate vital signs, weight and height, intake and output, and documents the information appropriately
- Completes rounds and documents findings accurately and timely
- Recognizes changes in patient’s affect, behavior, mood, and level of suicidality or self-harm; communicate the status of the patient’s condition accurately
- Provide assistance patients' personal hygiene
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living (serving meals/snacks, feeding patient, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients, personal hygiene
`Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
- 6 months experience in a clinical setting

Pay: $12.00 - $16.50 per hour
