Mental Health Tech

We are seeking Mental Health Technicians (MHT's) for all shifts to provide in-patient care to adolescent and adult patients who are undergoing psychiatric care. Make a difference in someone's life by joining Desert Winds Hospital a new behavioral health hospital.

MHT Responsibilities:

• Perform vital signs, body weight, and electrocardiograms.
• Partners with nursing for medication administration.
• Observes and assists patients with personal hygiene.
• Accompanies patients to outside medical appointments.
• Attends and participates in treatment team meetings.

MHT Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Coursework in behavioral sciences preferred.
• Experience in a psychiatric hospital or residential treatment center preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Timely renewal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for healthcare professional’s certification, annual professional skills verification, and CPI certification. Classes are provided by Desert Winds Hospital.
