Mental Health Counselor / Therapist

Provisional & Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMSW/LICSW, PLPC/LPC, LMFT).

Seeking: Mental Health Therapist/Clinician.

Lewis & Associates is a private practice that attends to individuals who need a safe space to emotionally explore the psychodynamics of their life trials, not short from trauma to daily stressors.

With all intentions focused on professionals, students, multicultural populations, African Diaspora, Caribbean-Americans, Latinx, biracial identities, transgender, LGBTQIA+, and all populations of people that struggle to comfortably address their Mental Health needs safely.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in multicultural perspective in individual & group therapy.
• Facilitate the clinical management of patients through evaluation, diagnosis, consultations, and referral to the appropriate resources.
• Provide individual, group, family, and couple therapy and crisis intervention.
• Create individualized treatment plans according to the client’s needs and circumstances.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality.
• Be available to work some evenings.
• Create own schedule

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field
• Current with DC, Maryland, or Virginia licensing requirements, including provisional and independent licensing.
• Experience working in a diverse environment
• Demonstrated ability to work with marginalized communities
• Able to see a minimum of 10 – max 30 clients weekly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of post-graduate clinical experience providing psychotherapy services.

• We will do all the work to credential you with select insurance companies.

Additional Information:

• Salary Range: $55.00 - $75.00 per billable hour (pay rate is based on licensure and employment status of W9 or W2)
• Application Deadline: April 01, 2024, or after that until filled
• Final candidates are required to provide licenses and certifications
• Hiring is contingent upon a successful background clearance and reference check
