House Attendant Position -part time position
Job Summary
This position is a supervisory position, overseeing adult men, recovering from substance abuse or incarceration, living in a residential program or transitional housing.
The person in this position must be capable of functioning independently with minimum supervision. You will help maintain and promote a safe & clean environment for the residents.
Essential Job Functions
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintains a home-like environment
- Maintain and record all court related records and documents, including administering random drug screening and documentation for court records.
- Supervises the planning, purchasing, preparation and serving of meals and snacks- with emphasis of ensuring direct support professionals are including residents to the highest degree possible.
- Ensures adequate staff coverage by filling in when needed.
- Maintains an up to date inventory of house supplies and materials.
- Makes and enforce house cleaning, laundry and meal prep schedules by using teams of residents to complete these duties.
- Ensures medication is accurately checked in and dispensed.
Qualifications
Adult Male over 21
High School Diploma or equivalent.-required.
Valid NC driver’s license.-required
Experience in a community residential setting.- preferred
Must be flexible with work schedule.-required
Excellent Communication Skills.
Ability to supervise residents.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
