This position provides first-line, field supervision to clinical field personnel. This role is responsible for assuring adequate resources; scheduling; instructing; assigning, reviewing, and planning the work of others. They maintain standards; coordinate activities; allocate personnel and resolve employee problems, including issuing initial discipline and selecting new employees. They review the work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy, coach and mentor staff, ensures policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed, mitigates incidents at work, ensures employee injuries and health is maintained, and process employee paperwork. In addition to primary shift duties, this role shall have the primary responsibility for performance, evaluations, coaching and mentoring a segment of assigned staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Associate's degree from an accredited institution OR Obtain with three (3) years of hire.
2. Valid Driver's License.
3. National Registry of EMT Certification (Paramedic).
4. Current WV EMS Certification OR Obtain within three (3) months of hire.
5. Credentialed EMS Officer OR Obtain within three (3) years of hire.
6. Introduction to Rescue Awareness Course OR Obtain within six (6) months of hire.
7. NIMS IS700, IS800, IS100, IS200.
8. NIMS ICS 300 and ICS 400 (or ability to obtain in 6 months).
9. HAZMAT Awareness Certification.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Three (3) years of experience as an EMS provider.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. National Registry of EMTs Paramedic Certification.
2. Critical Care Paramedic (WV CCP, FP-C, CCP-C, or CCEMTP).
3. Current or previous medical certification or license (Clinical Associate, Medical Assistant, RN, etc.)
4. Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) or higher.
5. NEMSMA Credentialed EMS Officer (SPO, MPO, FACPE)
6. Vehicle Extrication - Operations Certification.
7. Rope Operations Certification.
8. NEMSMA FTEP Certification.
9. HAZMAT Operations.
10. WV DNR Boat Operator.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years of experience as an EMS provider at a similar or higher volume EMS agency.
2. Previous EMS Supervisor experience.

1. Provides global front line field supervision and operational oversight to daily operations.
2. Ensures operations has adequate resources by assessing, identifying, procuring, and allocating resources.
3. Assigns, reviews, directs, and evaluates the work of others.
4. Completes initial scheduling, crew allocation, absenteeism, and backfilling of schedule.
5. Resolves employee problems and ensuring employee needs.
6. Coordinates and orchestrates efficient, effective, and compliant EMS operations.
7. Sets the example and maintains agency standards and expectations. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines, etc.
8. Provides counseling, corrective action, and discipline, if needed.
9. Responds to and mitigates agency incidents, including employee injuries and health concerns.
10. Provides feedback on performance, completes evaluations, and provides coaching to assigned staff.
11. Cooperates and interacts with external agencies and stakeholders.
