This position would be responsible for providing core responsibilities in Memorial Public Services. They would also be responsible for providing daytime continuity for student supervision and would help facilitate campus wide student staff training initiatives.

- 10% Cultivates and maintains productive relationships with vendors and professional colleagues
- 10% Obtains materials, resolves issues, and answers questions particularly related to situations that are complex in nature
- 20% Designs, develops, and delivers instruction in a variety of formats to faculty, staff, students, and other patrons
- 30% Assists with the coordination of day-to-day functions of one or more library operations or services
- 10% Contributes to the development of policies and procedures
- 10% Serves on committees to advance librarianship at the campus, local, and/or state levels
- 10% May direct the day-to-day activities of student workers
- Coordinates and oversees student performance across the user services spectrum in Memorial Library. Includes some high level supervision of students.
- Coordinates and documents student staff training to ensure standardization across the Libraries, including development of online training modules.
- Campus Public Services-Campus email reference coordination. This position would participate and help provide leadership for the general coordination for the reference email service at campus level.
- Completes professional development and other duties as assigned.
- Staffs core services, such as Memorial Library reference and circulation (both synchronous and asynchronous).

Preferred
Master's Degree
Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies or similar field.
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
-Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds
-Ability to work on a computer for 6+ hours
-Ability to move around a large building
Required Skills:
-Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as knowledge of basic computer skills
Preferred:
-Experience with or demonstrated interest in working in a library setting
-Experience with or knowledge of circulation functions (checkout, return, recall, hold, etc.)
-Experience with or demonstrated interest in overseeing or directing the work of staff
-Experience with or demonstrated interest in planning, developing, and application of policies and procedures
-Experience with or demonstrated interest in planning, developing, and creation of online documentation and training modules
-Ability to work independently and with a team
-Ability to be flexible, pay close attention to detail, and respond well to multiple competing demands
-Ability to analyze problems and suggest solutions
Full Time: 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
Schedule Requirements: This position will have standard business hours with the expectation to help cover some nights/weekend shifts.
Schedule preferences: 3 days per week onsite / 2 days per week remote.
