JOB SUMMARY:
Consistently provide an atmosphere of high-quality service to our membership. Supports credit union goals and initiatives. Strives to exceed member expectations and anticipate needs through skillful questioning, listening, communicating benefits, gaining commitment, and addressing member concerns. Promotes credit union products and distributes literature to members. Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of member service support functions.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of all policies, procedures, and regulations of Independent Federal Credit Union. Follows all established Credit Union standards, policies, and procedures in serving members. Takes ownership of job duties. Offers team members assistance when necessary to help develop a fully competent and cohesive workforce. Consistently acts as part of an interconnected team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with other employees and members. Maintains open and respectful communication with other departments. Demonstrates professionalism in dress, tone, flexibility, and communication.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote credit union products and services based on member needs as determined from member interviews. Either transact the request or refer the member to the appropriate department.
Ensure Member Services functions are efficiently, effectively, and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures.
Be able to understand and explain account histories and interest rates.
Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential and enforce strict adherence to established security procedures.
Provide general information concerning all credit union services to the membership and prepare appropriate documentation and related forms as needed.
Assist members in other areas of the credit union, i.e. ATM, ODP, Lock Boxes, etc.
Duties may include: teller, vault teller, member service with limited ATM/debit card duties, and call center
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
