Job Summary:
The Member Services Representative is a passionate individual who seeks to help members and guests improve their lives through health and fitness. This person is responsible for selling memberships, keeping the club clean, and any other tasks that the trainer and/or club director assign. This role requires a considerable amount of self-motivation, collaboration, communication, and the ability to positively influence others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales – a large part of the Member Services Representative role is centered around membership and training sales. A Member Services Representative must convert leads to members through follow-ups, relationship building, ability to empathize, and follow through. A personal training background isn’t required but the ability to speak to our training program and how to leverage our technology (Anytime Fitness App, Evolt body scanner, Apple Fitness+ App, etc.) to support the growth of the training department is a must. There are future options to train clients 1:1 and/or in small groups if there is a need and/or interest.
- Brand promoters – when you love your gym, others will too! The Member Services Representative establishes relationships with businesses and influencers in the community to promote the brand through marketing. This person helps coordinate engagement campaigns, national marketing campaigns, and community outreach efforts using assets and operations created by the Anytime Fitness corporate teams. The knowledge of social media and creating your own marketing material is required.
- Day-to-day operations – In addition to the sales section listed as above, a Member Services Representative will be responsible for the daily club operational tasks such as club cleanliness and making sure our members are happy. The following are examples of what is required:
- Greet and welcome members in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist members with inquiries, account updates, and membership renewals
- Resolve member complaints and/or concerns in a timely manner
- Culture creators – The Member Services Representative love creating an environment that inspires members and guests to share their positive experiences with friends and family. They deliver top-notch customer service and aim to improve the lives of each person they meet.
Job Requirements:
Experience in the fitness industry isn’t required, but great communication and soft skills are. A good candidate is:
- 18 years or older
- Available to work flexible hours: mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends
- Friendly, outgoing, and has a warm personality
- Demonstrates a drive for results
- Must be technologically savvy
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
- Good at managing time and schedules
- Organized and adept at administration duties
- Independently motivated and able to work alone during a shift
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
