Job description

Overall, the role of a Member Navigator is to help members navigate the healthcare system, access appropriate medical care, and ultimately achieve better health. Some specific responsibilities include the below:

  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will coordinate medical appointments, including scheduling appointments with healthcare providers and ensuring members have the necessary information and resources to attend.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will help members navigate complex medical issues, such as chronic conditions, disabilities, or mental health.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will advocate for members to ensure they receive high-quality and coordinated care, such as ensuring they receive the appropriate diagnostic tests, medications, and treatments.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will provide support and assistance to members during medical emergencies or hospitalizations, including coordinating with healthcare providers, communicating with family members, and assisting with discharge planning and home care.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will be documenting member interactions and outcomes in a member record or database.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will work with Care Managers to establish weekly and monthly assessment goals.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will be actively participate in Care Management Improvement Work Group.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will display a caring and helpful attitude when interacting with members, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will handle confidential information with tact and discretion, following HIPAA regulations.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will follow established policies and procedures for safety, infection, and exposure control.
  • Member Medical Assistant Navigator will perform other duties as assigned.
  1. Assist members to understand their health insurance benefits, such as coverage for medical services, prescription drugs, and medical equipment.
  2. Educate members about their healthcare options and available resources, such as disease management programs and wellness services.

Requirements: Must be "Registered Medical Assistant" as certificate or diploma.

Compensation: 

Pay: $15- $18.00/hour

Medical and Health Benefits may be offered if needed
