Member Engagement Manager

Position Summary: The Member Engagement Manager will support member recruitment and retention efforts and will serve as the principal staff member charged with leading the development, execution, and management of the volunteer engagement program. The Manager will provide oversight, working with staff and members at all levels to build an association-wide capacity to identify, recruit, orient, develop, and recognize volunteers with the goal of ensuring a positive experience for all individuals and a significant return on investment for the association. The Manager will also support membership operations, including overseeing the online community, assisting with member onboarding, and contributing to reports. Additionally, the Manager will serve as the main point of contact for NAGC's networks and special interest groups, ensuring all member-driven efforts align with the NAGC Strategic Plan. Finally, the Manager will be the first escalation point for customer service inquiries and issues.
Location:
Remote. Open to candidates eligible to work in the US with a preference for candidates in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC. The team occasionally meets in person in the Washington, DC area.
Salary Range:
$55,000-$62,000
Overall Responsibilities

Collaborate with members and staff to create and manage meaningful volunteer opportunities and engagement activities, thereby increasing member satisfaction and retention
Efficiently direct the recruitment of volunteers by implementing and maintaining processes that minimize barriers for potential volunteers
Develop and manage orientation materials using volunteer management engagement best practices to ensure a positive volunteer experience
Manage member participation, large or small, ensuring all pieces of volunteer engagement are tracked and this data can be accessed easily by staff and members
Complete monthly membership department tasks, including reporting, onboarding, renewal, and data management
Promote member conversation and connection via NAGC's Member Engagement platform
Promote a member-centric culture through exemplary customer service support as needed
Serve as staff partner to NAGC committees and workgroups as assigned
