Description: As a Medication Technician PRN at the Women's Home Organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper
administration of medications to our residents. Your attention to detail, compassion, and dedication will contribute to the health and
stability of the women in our care. The position requires flexibility to cover shifts as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications to residents as prescribed, following established protocols and schedules.
- Maintain organized and secure medication records, including documenting medication administration and any related observations or concerns.
- Build positive relationships with residents, providing compassionate support, answering questions, and addressing any medication-related concerns.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations regarding medication administration, storage, and disposal.
- Communicate any observed changes in residents' health or behavior to the team and manager.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and resident interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on medication administration best practices.
- Position may include working other shifts or program locations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medication Technician certification preferred.
- Previous experience in medication administration preferred but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Compassion and sensitivity to the needs of our residents.
