The goal of theMedication Safety Officeris tocoordinate all activities related to Medication Safetythrough collaborationwiththe Department of Pharmacy and organizational leadership.Contributes to the goals of the department throughmedication eventreview, system and process evaluation, formulation of recommendations and initiatives, coordination ofintervention strategies, and monitoring of activities related to Medication Safety.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pharmacy Residency inMedication-Use Safety and Policy orPediatrics or relevant specialty OR
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and 2 years hospital experience withpediatric patients OR
  • 4 years hospital experience with pediatric patients
  • Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Florida required. Must be obtained prior to start date.
  • PALS certification preferred. Must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • BCPPS or relevant specialty board certification preferred. Must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
