Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Pharmacy Technician III, you will assist in the total quality management of the distributive functions of the department by performing all the duties of a Tech I and Tech II, monitoring quality assurance for all pharmacy areas, overseeing training of new technicians, assisting with scheduling of Pharmacy Technicians. You will provide leadership and direct supervision to Tech I and Tech II’s by demonstrating positive guest relations, effective communication skills, excellent work ethics, and superior leadership skills.

• You will provide direct supervision for the Pharmacy Technicians within a scheduled shift
• You will perform all duties of a Pharmacy Technician I and II
• You will provide training for new Pharmacy Technicians
• You will monitor quality assurance for all pharmacy areas
• You will assist with scheduling and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians

What qualifications you will need:

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

Minimum of one year experience in the St. David’s Medical Center pharmacy system

Licenses and Certifications

• Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Pharmacy Technician Registration
• Sterile Products (IV) Certification through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
• Completed a Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique Instructor class in order to conduct training/orientation for staff within the facility
