Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Pharmacy Technician III, you will assist in the total quality management of the distributive functions of the department by performing all the duties of a Tech I and Tech II, monitoring quality assurance for all pharmacy areas, overseeing training of new technicians, assisting with scheduling of Pharmacy Technicians. You will provide leadership and direct supervision to Tech I and Tech II’s by demonstrating positive guest relations, effective communication skills, excellent work ethics, and superior leadership skills.
- You will provide direct supervision for the Pharmacy Technicians within a scheduled shift
- You will perform all duties of a Pharmacy Technician I and II
- You will provide training for new Pharmacy Technicians
- You will monitor quality assurance for all pharmacy areas
- You will assist with scheduling and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Minimum of one year experience in the St. David’s Medical Center pharmacy system
Licenses and Certifications
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Sterile Products (IV) Certification through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
- Completed a Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique Instructor class in order to conduct training/orientation for staff within the facility
