Medication Aide
Location: Sauk Rapids, MN
Compensation: $19/hour + 0.75 shift differential weekdays & $1.25 shift differential weekends
Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services, with a network of addiction treatment centers. Our men’s residential location in Sauk Rapids named Bridge Recovery is looking for passionate, committed individuals to join our team.
Shifts:
2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm
3rd Shift: 11:00pm-7:30am
Job Duties:
- Administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains medical records under the supervision of a nurse.
- Verifies identity of patient receiving medication and records the name of drug, and time of administration on specified forms or database.
- Presents medication to patient and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication using specified procedures.
- May take vital signs or observes patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
- Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
- Records and restock medication inventories.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects the facility by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Interested in being certified as a TMA (Trained Medication Aide), we will train you!
- A minimum of one year freedom from chemical abuse problems.
