Form of workSOVAH Health in Danville, VA., is seeking a full-time Medical Technologist second shift to perform, correlate, interpret, and report routine and special, highly complex laboratory procedures on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
Reports to: Director Laboratory
FLSA: Non-exempt
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Graduate of a Program in Medical Laboratory Science preferred.
- Biology or Chemistry graduates must get their MLS certification within two years of employment.
Required Skills:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience:
- One (1) year experience in a medical laboratory preferred.
