Overall Purpose of the Job:
Medical Supply Chain/Fleet Coordinator, Medical Services is part of a team that supports Operations & Fleet Management. In this role, the Coordinator supports the development of global best practices in the International SOS supply chain area. The goal is to enhance our customer service levels and improve efficiencies and internal business results. This role requires close collaboration with our operations and fleet team to drive the implementation of best practices to enhance ISOS global supply chain capabilities.
As the Medical Supply Chain/Fleet Coordinator, you must ensure that all goods are purchased promptly, efficiently, and cost-effectively, maintain positive relationships with suppliers, and efficiently support the business.
This is an in-person role in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Candidates must be local to the area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise and develop relations within the supply chain and operations team. Assist in negotiations with contacts to obtain cost-effective procurement.
• Identify where new suppliers are needed or no longer required. Update department managers on supplier performance when required.
• Prepare Purchase Orders in line with agreed minimum and maximum stock levels and Budget with preferred suppliers using agreed pricing.
• Collaborates with stakeholders within all regions to plan and implement recommended changes for continual improvement.
• Manages the interpretation and presentation of results and provides accurate and timely information to the business relevant to the decision-making and planning process.
• Performance management of suppliers in accordance with SLAs or similar KPIs
• Organize and schedule procurements promptly.
• Review contractual actions to ensure they conform with statutory and regulation requirements.
• Responsible for expediting and logistics concerning supplier equipment and materials delivery to project sites.
• Procurement of facilities services in line with sourcing plan and contract requirement
• Provide essential data to suppliers concerning monthly usage.
• Resolve customer issues.
• Prepare requested reports by management.
• Process invoices
• Interface with project segment managers and contract administrators, buyers, expeditors, inspectors, materials controllers, transportation and logistics and other parties as required.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Job Profile:
Required Skills and Knowledge
• Excellent understanding of Domestic Procurement & Supply Chain
• Understands current supply chain best practices and related KPIs and metrics.
• Familiar with cost-benefit and business analysis
• Excellent Skills required in English language, oral and written.
Required Competencies
• Ability to problem solve independently and with others
• Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
• Ability to work as part of a team
Required Work Experience
• Minimum three years of previous experience in Procurement & Supply Chain
• Experience in the Healthcare industry
Required Qualifications
• Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and share-point and comfortable with numerical reasoning.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience in place of degree.
