Job Description:
Provides ongoing support and coordination; being a liaison between the Medical Staff, Medical Directors, and Administration. The position directs the on-going credentialing / privileging process and other administrative functions for the Medical Staff, Medical Director, Administration, and Allied Health Professionals.

The CVO manages the review and verification of Initial and reappointment application files for our SCL Health facilities, including 5 Colorado hospitals, 3 Montana Hospitals and 5 outside facilities. The CVO also supports our Referring Provider Database of approximately 19,000 providers. The CVO office is located on the Lutheran Medical Center Campus, this position is available as a remote position.

Your day.
As a Medical Staff Privileging Coordinator you need to know how to:
  • Perform analysis and appropriate follow-up of each initial application and reappointment
  • Maintain communication with the Medical Staff Offices throughout the verification process
  • Assure all files are completed prior to close or appropriate communication with the MSOs has occurred
  • Work with many individuals locally and nationally to acquire the necessary materials and information, including, but not limited to: physicians, hospitals, physicians' offices, and universities
  • Perform relevant data entry into the database to ensure the consistency and integrity of the data
  • Process appropriate queries for expired licensure, or any appropriate regulatory credentialing requirement and maintains documentation in the database
  • Assist with development, planning and implementation of the Credentials verification process to ensure compliance with regulatory, Medical Staff specific, and accreditation guidelines, rules, standards, and/or requirements

Qualified candidate will be able to work remotely. Some onsite training or meetings may be required. This is a 100% remote position however, currently we are unable to consider candidates for remote opportunities in the following states: California, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent-
Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Medical Staff coordinator, Medical Staff credentials specialist or administrative assistant-
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) within four (4) years of employment
Physical Requirements:
Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
