Medical Secretary

Busy surgical practice looking for an experienced Medical Secretary. Full or Part time hours available. Hours split between offices in both Warwick and East Providence.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

Competent in problem solving and decision making. Superior interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Excellent computer skills. Well organized with attention to detail and accuracy. Trustworthy and reliable. Works well in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Check-in, checkout and appointment scheduling.

Keeping providers schedule flowing well.

Answering phones and responding to patient messages.

Sending outgoing and sorting of incoming E-fax.

Scanning records into EMR system.

Imaging prior authorizations.

Cleaning patient facing areas.

Rooming patients.

cleaning and sanitizing scopes, instruments and exam rooms.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 1-2 years experience in a medical office environment.

Otolaryngology experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
