Job Description
Our client, a well-established family medicine clinic, is hiring a Medical Scribeto assist their providers! This is a contract-to-hire position that offers the opportunity to get your foot in the door with little experience and many avenues for growth!

Position: Medical Scribe
Pay Rate: $17 - $23 /hr depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts between 7AM and 5PM & some Saturdays, 7:30AM - 5:30PM (full-time, 40 hours)
Day to Day:
- Record detailed information from a patient’s visit with a provider including:
- Patient medical history & physical exam
- Procedures and treatments performed by healthcare professionals including medical assistants
- Patient education and explanations of risks and behaviors
- Physician dictated diagnoses, prescriptions and instruction for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up
- Assist with referrals if directed by the physician
- Assist provider with locating test results and patient records from emergency room visits and other providers
- Work directly with a single provider
- Perform documentation in the EHR
- Partner with provider to deliver excellent patient care
- Check for accurate information in the medical record to reduce errors
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course
- Experience using an electronic health record (NextGen experience HUGE plus!)
- Accurate keyboarding skills
- 10 key data entry
- Detail-oriented
- Bilingual- Spanish (strongly preferred)
