Medical Scribe Job Description
This position is a based in and around Anniston, Alabama. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a team with one of our clinical physicians and/or nurse practitioners, assisting with transcribing verbal and written notes into readable documents for medical records. You must be familiar with medical terminology and have excellent listening and data-entry skills. Reliability and a strong work ethic combined with great communication skills are a must, as well as familiarity with all necessary office equipment, software, and procedures.
Medical Scribe Salary
- Salary starting at $14.00
Medical Scribe Responsibilities
- Interact with providers, patients and facilities
- Facilitate patient flow to ensure the accurate and complete medical record processing of each patient.
- Assist the Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist by accompanying them throughout the patient visit, recording details into the medical record and coordinating departmental resources regarding assessments, tests, orders and results.
- Collaborate with care management providers to ensure a consistent, highly accurate documentation
Medical Scribe Position Requirements
- High School Diploma required; LPN/MA/CNA preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in medical office/clinic/hospital required
- Must be a proficient typist with excellent communication and organization skills
- Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
