Medical Revenue Cycle Operations Project Analyst (Chicago Loop, Mostly Remote position)

Our client (UI Health Physician Group) has an immediate staffing need for an experienced, full-time Medical Operations Project Analyst. This is a project-oriented position and not management of a Medical Revenue Cycle Dept. This position M-F (8:00am to 4:30pm) is mostly a remote position with occasional meetings in the office in the central Chicago Loop. An Excel test will be administered during the interviewing process.

Summary:

The Operations Analyst is responsible for all vendor contracts, reporting, and project analysis. Responsible for progressive and advanced data analysis at both vendor and healthcare business strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with executive management to achieve outcomes
  • Analyze data and information to identify business opportunities
  • Maintain the organization vendor contract management repository
  • Understand the Medical Revenue Cycle process and be able to identify areas of improvement through data analysis
  • Create monthly reports to management on key findings and assessment
  • Support the organization to ensure processes are running optimally
  • Skilled in compiling & delivering presentations that assist in coordinating efforts

Qualifications/Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar is required.
  • Three years of experience in analysis or operations role relating to Revenue Cycle or contract management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; professional, self-starter, self-organized.
  • Ability to interact effectively and build collaborative relationships with diverse clients, stakeholders, and staff members at all levels.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and regulatory/payer requirements
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Persistence – comfortable pursuing, rebutting, and escalating issues
  • PC skills - High proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Teams & Excel.
