Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Medical Receptionist II provides office support to service providers and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School diploma or equivalent
Experience And Skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Minimum one year in customer service or reception in a health care environment
- Working knowledge of insurance and pre-certification process, Medical Terminology required

Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
- Handling telephones, computers, bending and lifting.
