The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) is located in the Southwestern Alaska town of Bethel, with a total of approximately 6,000 people. YKHC supports 1500 employees, providing the health services to a primarily Yup'ik Eskimo Native population for an area the size of Oregon. Services are provided through a Bethel located hospital and 50 clinics throughout the YK Delta.
Position Summary:
Directs the overall operations of Medical Records to ensure health records are established and maintained according to internal and external requirements and/or regulations. Performs duties in support of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of prior experience in Medical Records required
- Successfully pass Records Custo9dian Class
- Successful completion of Medical Terminology.
- Legal Issues in Behavioral Health Alaska.
- Certificate of Federal Records Management Training
- Able to operate printers, copiers, faxes, shredders and computers.
- Good understanding of teh Medical Electronic computer systems and menus
- Good computer skills in Word and Excel programs
- Demonstrates ability to work well with staff
