The Opioid Epidemic is a public health crisis with a highly effective but underutilized clinical intervention - millions of Americans are physically dependent on Opioids but only 10% of those likely to have OUD actually access treatment. Bicycle Health addresses this gap by maximizing accessibility, affordability, and overall quality of care by enabling highly qualified clinicians to reach patients broadly and efficiently through our online platform.
TheMedical Records Coordinator is responsible for the management and fulfillment of all incoming Medical Records requests incurred by the organization. These can include, but are not limited to, insurance company audits, special billing investigations, subpoenas, HEDIS measurement requests, medical examiner requests, etc.
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full time (40 hrs)
Target Pay Range: $27 - $30 per hour - Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

You can expect to:
- Own the management and fulfillment of Medical Records requests from a variety of sources
- Assess all Medical Records requests to determine the cause or reason for the request and which organizational stakeholders need to be involved
- Track incoming requests for records and sort by priority and urgency of the request
- Fulfill all necessary Medical Records requests accurately and in a timely manner, meeting all request deadlines
- Work closely with the Billing/RCM team, Payer Strategy team, operations, legal, and executive team to accurately fulfill requests and continuously improve our record keeping and compliance
- Collate and provide feedback to relevant teams in order to set the standard for high quality record keeping based on audits and other investigations
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualities we're looking for:
- Strong ability to decipher types of record requests to determine the cause for the request, level of importance/urgency, and what documentation is sufficient enough to fulfill the request
- Highly detailed and meticulously organized
- Able to work quickly and accurately
- Executive presence, professionalism and poise while working with company leaders, legal counsel, and payer partners
- Collaborative style and tolerance for a cross-functional role that will at times have conflicting priorities
- 3-5 years experience as a Medical Records Coordinator or health information specialist
- Familiarity medical billing (E/M codes, G Codes, and time attestation)
- Familiarity with clinical compliance standards
- Experience using Athena for records management
- Experience with payer audit/investigations
- Consistent access to a private work environment with high speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs.
This is a full-time (40hrs per week) remote position.
