The opportunity

The Medical Rebate Analyst supports the Revenue Optimization and Contract Compliance Team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Managed Care Rebates. This role involves continuous review of Medical Rebates contracts (Commercial, MPD, and Managed Medicaid) within the Biosimilar side of the business. Responsibilities include contract interpretation, reconciliation and validation of payments, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to PBMs.

How you’ll spend your day

• Continuously research customer Medical Policies and PA documentation in conjunction with contract language to determine impacts on rebate eligible products. Apply Medical Policy eligibility to Medical Rebate payments.
• Take in-depth look at contract language revolving around entire scope of Medical Rebate agreements. Enter Medical Rebate contract pricing, NDCs, and billing parameters in FLEX Model N.
• Work with the Contracting Team to enhance Medical Rebate contracts. Validate payment contract language and data field exhibits to ensure Teva’s ability to discern rebate eligibility.
• Collaborate with the Medical Formulary Compliance counterpart on all disputes revolving around aberrant quantities, quantity limits, and tier placement.
• Communicate with internal Account Managers on Market Share findings from Medical Accounts pertaining to how Teva’s drugs are performing in the market compared to forecasted numbers. Provide ad hoc reporting to Market Access, Contracting, and Management.
• Perform other duties as deemed essential by the business to support revenue optimization process.

Your experience and qualifications

• College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct experience working with a PBM or drug manufacturer in the medical sphere; Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry preferred .
• Strong analytical, planning, problem identification, and resolution skills are required, with demonstrated self-initiative.
• Effective communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas and at all levels of management.
• Knowledge of Teva’s products and services is preferred. Experience with contract review, claims process, formulary structure, co-pays, and benefit design are also desirable.
• Understanding of and experience in validating medical claims.
