We are seeking a forward thinking, highly motivated and goal oriented practice manager to join our growing orthopedic practice and ASC in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position, you will be focused on growing the practice towards its potential for large positive impact within the community. Experience
- Proven experience as a Medical Practice manager / administrator
- Healthcare experience
- Management experience
- Extensive experience in billing and collections for various commercial insurance providers
- Proficiency in electronic practice and health record management systems
Responsibilities
- This position directly reports to and works with the practicing physicians
- Responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the practice to ensure optimal efficiency and satisfaction of patients, physicians and employees
- Responsibility for the operations, facilities, and HR management
- Ensure successful intake of patient information, answer patient questions, schedule patient appointments (using software), and oversee billing and collections
- Ensure highest level of patient pre-operative and post-operative care, education, and satisfaction
- Implement programs to improve quality of patient care and satisfaction
- Staying informed of trends in practice administration and healthcare regulations
- Organize office operations and procedures and ensure these procedures are compliant
- Train employees on proper processes and procedures and review employee work, ensuring accuracy
- Onboarding of new employees and establishing schedules etc
- Supervise and provide supportive, positive, and professional first line support to all employees
- Conduct employee performance reviews and create an environment focused on growth
