- Posting electronically (ERA’s) and manual – payments for insurance and patient
- EOB evalutation and interpretation.
- Timely and accurate payment entry.
- Resolving aging AR issues.
- Identify and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Read and understand financial reporting.
- Claims follow-up.
- Troubleshooting EDI transactions.
- Other assigned duties.
Required and Desired Skills for this position:
- 2+ years of MEDICAL billing, Payment Posting, accounts receivable experience preferred.
- FQHC/Community Health Center experience preferred.
- CPS, AthenaOne, or EPIC experience preferred
- Experience in working aging AR
- Experience working with insurance companies
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and be computer literate.
- Ability to work with a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload
- 10 Key – accuracy and proficiency
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, MCO’s, and commercial insurance.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written
- ICD-10/CPT knowledge required
