Job Summary:

We are looking for highly organized billing manager with years of experience in the healthcare industry, and specifically laboratory medicine. You will be responsible for managing claim analysts, overseeing the whole billing/collection cycle and interacting with our third party biller.

Your knowledge of billing, accounting and customer service issues combined with your communication and account management skills will shape how LabFlorida will continue to grow.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or higher

Minimum 3 years of prior billing experience for a medical lab

Proficiency in electronic medical records

Combination of sharp clerical skills and friendly interpersonal habits

Customer service focused

Ability to multitask

Patient enough to navigate the bureaucracy of complex insurance claims and to follow up with patients about their accounts

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Job Summary:

Collect and submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers

Process claims

Resolve denial instances

Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided

Communicate with accounts and patients about their outstanding balance and handling the administrative responsibilities of billing insurance and processing payments.

Perform other tasks and projects as directed.

Work Environment:

We are a high complexity independent reference lab with the mission to provide superior quality service for physicians and their patients. Every employee and every customer are important. The staff is small, the pace is fast but customer service and individual attention to every account and every patient is a priority.

IMPORTANT:

This is a full-time job: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday-Friday.

Pay range: $18-30/hr depending on experience and production.

No health insurance.
