Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC)

What will you do as a PMC Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
As a PMC Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will serve as an essential part of the patient’s experience by performing laboratory tests run in-house in the Pinehurst Medical Clinic Laboratory.
A day in the life of a PMC Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)may include:
- Perform of in-house laboratory tests which may include the collection of specimens.
- Maintaining positive specimen identification throughout the laboratory testing and reporting process.
- May either open the lab in the morning or close down the lab in the evening.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and stains.
- Recognizes abnormal lab values. Follow protocol for rechecking, accepting, and calling results to the physician or designated clinical person.
- Assists the Lab Manager in maintaining supplies and in ordering supplies.
- Maintain appropriate records (QC, specimen, instrument maintenance, etc.) as required.
- Being a key piece in the PMC mission by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and the communities we serve.

Required Qualifications
- An Associate of Science Degree, along with a certification as an MLT with an accredited agency is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience performing moderate and high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays
Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
