Axle is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Medical Illustrator / Biomedical Visualization Specialist to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Job Description:
- Accurately depict scientific research discoveries using visualization methods.
- Produce Biomedical Visualizations, medical illustrations, animations, and graphic designs for publication in scientific journals, professional videos, and multi-media platforms.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other visual information specialists to translate broad scientific concepts into details required to design, produce, reproduce, and or display original visual products or materials.
- Bachelor's degree in science or medical field
- Master's degree in Biomedical Visualization or Medical Illustration is desirable
- Experience with Biomedical Visualization
- Demonstrate superior command of Adobe After Effects and Maxon Cinema 4D animation software
- Exhibit strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud software suite
- Familiarity with best practices in medical/scientific ethics
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn photography skills
- Strong analytic skills
- Adaptive to changes in workflow and works effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and efficient
- Independent thinker
