The Front-Office Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and management of Front Office staff to include Front Desk Receptionist (s), Medical Schedulers, Medical Records and Referral Coordinator (s). This position is responsible for delivery of exceptional quality patient experiences and effectiveness of Front Office and practice operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Front Office workflows to facilitate smooth and efficient operations, minimizing bottlenecks and ensuring seamless coordination between the front and back office.
- Perform HR functions for Front Office Staff: complete personnel requisitions, candidate interviewing, counsel and coach staff as appropriate, evaluate performance, etc.
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
- Establish expertise in the utilization of electronic health records as a super user
- Monitor provider schedules to ensure optimal utilization for patient appointments
- Attends scheduled staff meetings and other meetings as needed
- Manages inventory of office supplies and coordinates reordering
- Maintains cleanliness and professional appearance of the Front Office area and patient waiting areas.
- Adheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of Front Office experience in a medical office setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of clerical, office and customer service experience in a healthcare environment and prior experience in Front Office Supervisor duties
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Allscripts)
