Cosmetic Physician Partners has joined West Michigan Plastic Surgery, a fast-growing premier Medical Spa with a focus on medical aesthetics and non-surgical cosmetic procedures, in Portage, MI.
We are seeking a Medical Esthetician to join an experienced team with a passion for collaboration and helping patients achieve their goals. Must have a love for the aesthetic industry, a willingness to learn and train, and an eagerness to build and grow with us!
This position demands a commitment to upholding our clinic's standards, providing top-notch treatments, promoting products, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand and actively contribute to the clinic's marketing efforts under the direction of the Manager and Owner.
  • Perform a range of aesthetic services including laser treatments, facials, waxing, chemical peels, HydraFacial, etc., adhering to clinic protocols and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough consultations following clinic protocols, crafting customized treatment plans for each client with attention to detail.
  • Educate clients on skincare products and ensure retail sales comprise at least 20% of generated service revenues.
  • Capture before and after photos for clients via the Visia System, updating and tracking progress consistently.
  • Assist in clinic operations, helping fellow employees, managing customer service tasks, scheduling, checking out, answering phones, training, cleaning, etc.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the skincare waiting area, ensuring supplies are stocked for client appointments.
  • Maintain inventory levels for all skincare products and supplies and enter data accurately in the practice management system.
  • Submit timecards, commission, and payroll reports promptly, as per provided guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date licensure and participate in continuing education and training.
  • Manage client scheduling, arriving 30 minutes before the first appointment, and accommodate evening and Saturday hours as required.
  • Adhere to the clinic's dress code standards, maintaining a professional appearance.

Compliance and Conduct:
  • Foster a cooperative work environment, addressing concerns directly to the Manager and Owner.
  • Maintain respectful communication and promptly fulfill tasks requested by the Manager and Owner.
  • Promote the clinic positively to clients through various communication channels.
  • Address and inform the Manager and/or Owner promptly of any client issues.

Qualifications:
  • Michigan Esthetician License
  • 3 or more years of experience with a proven track record of building a book of clients
  • Excellent communication skills and follow-through
  • Experience working in a medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery office is a plus
  • Experience in performing consultations, cross-promoting of services and skincare products, and the ability to close sales
  • Hands-on experience in the use of high-tech cosmetic lasers and broadband light-based treatments, radio frequency & standard microneedling, dermaplaning, HydraFacials, chemical peels, etc.
