Medical Equipment Maintenance Technician - Home Medical Equipment Access at Providence Medford Medical Center

Schedule: Day Shift, Full Time, Monday – Friday with a rotation for on call coverage on the weekends.

Job description:

The HME Homecare Tech 1 is responsible for providing home Medical Equipment according to physician orders in a variety of living situations including private residences and long term care facilities. This position is accountable for the safe use of home Medical Equipment through evaluation of the living environment and education of patients, caregivers, and clinicians on the correct use and function of equipment provided. This is a patient facing position that functions independently.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • Upon hire: In compliance with Providence Health & Services-OR Human Resources policy # 302 'Background Checks' a criminal background check is required for this position prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in the home Medical Equipment industry.
  • 1 year experience in customer service.

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home Medical Equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
