About the Department
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has 114 clinical providers, providing care at the main hospital in Hyde Park and seven off site locations. We have More than 60,000 outpatient visits, 25,000 ultrasound visits, 2,800 deliveries, 3,000 gynecological surgeries per year. Teaching, research and the highest quality clinical care are top priorities for the Department. The residency and fellowship programs are highly ranked and have a history of training leaders in healthcare. The Department also has a significant research enterprise, engaging in population health studies, as well as research conducted in wet laboratories on tumor biology and the mechanisms of hypertensive diseases in pregnancy. Additionally, the Department supports unique research centers such as Ci3, which focuses on reproductive policy and innovations in sexual and reproductive health. The Department of OB/GYN also supports highly specialized subspecialties such as the Section of Gynecologic Oncology which is comprised of 8 attending physicians, 4 physician assistants, 3 chemotherapy nurses, clinical fellows, and support staff. The Department provides care in outpatient clinics located in Hyde Park, River East, Orland Park, New Lenox, Arlington Heights, and Schererville, Indiana along with surgical presence across the Chicagoland area.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will provide leadership and project execution to our accredited and non-accredited residency and fellowship training programs. This will also include oversight of our Sub-I and medical student rotations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project related to departmental education programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining accreditation and associated deadlines.
  • Responsible for creating, distributing and maintaining learner schedules and evaluations.
  • Oversight and management of the annual Match process.
  • Design, oversight and management of the learner orientation processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Partners with faculty Program leaders to ensure compliance and accreditation.
  • Coordinates all aspects of onboarding, orientation and termination of learners.
  • Manages the evaluative process of the program, faculty, and learners.
  • Guides day-to-day operations of accredited and non-accredited residency and fellowship training programs and ensures compliance with organizations such as the American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and Residency Review Committees (RRC).
  • Manages requirements of the training program, including accreditation, duty schedules, evaluation process, resident/fellowship recruitment, Match process, orientation and employees relations.
  • Reports and ensures compliance with procedures regarding licensing, moonlighting, annual contracts, and initial and re-credentialing of trainees.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related or relevant field of study.

Experience:
  • Current or prior management or leadership experience.
  • Previous clerkship, Graduate Medical Education (GME) or relevant experience.
  • Current or prior experience working with the American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and Residency Review Committees (RRC).
