Medical Director - Veterinarian, Asheboro, NC (30K Sign-On Bonus)
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Veterinarian to join our team as a Medical Director. The successful candidate will provide the highest level of care for the animals in our facility, as well as serve as a leader and mentor to our associates. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 0 to 10 years of experience in the Veterinary field, be proficient in DVM, Veterinarian, and Associate Veterinarian and have a passion for animal care and excellence.
Role and Responsibilities

• Provide medical treatment for animal patients and oversee the work of the other veterinarians in the facility.
• Develop, implement and monitor animal health protocols, treatments, medications and procedures.
• Assist in the development of veterinary programs and protocols for the facility.
• Work collaboratively with facility staff to ensure the highest quality of care and service is provided to all patients.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to associates in the facility.
• Perform routine medical exams, diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Provide emergency medical care as needed.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary.
• Educate clients on animal healthcare and preventive medicine.
• Maintain accurate medical records and health reports.
• Attend and participate in medical staff meetings.
• Maintain a clean and organized medical facility.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• DVM, Veterinarian, and Associate Veterinarian certifications and licenses.
• Minimum of 0 to 10 years of experience in the Veterinary field.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of animal health and wellness.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing the highest quality of care and service to all patients.
