NWOS is looking for a detail oriented Credentialing Specialist who is ready to work 24 hours per week. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for assisting in credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for all NWOS medical providers. The Credentialing Specialist helps to maintain up to date data for each provider and NWOS location in credentialing database and online systems to ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications.
This position is part-time and has the potential to develop into a flexible, hybrid-remote schedule. This is NOT a remote position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers and NWOS locations.
- Assists in provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of current health plan and payer requirements for credentialing providers and NWOS locations.
- Uses online data management and application processes whenever available.
- Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system.
- Assist in tracking license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
- Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities.
- Assists in tracking license, DEA and professional liability expirations for appointed ASC providers.
- Maintains ASC appointment files, and information in credentialing database.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year experience in a medical office preferred
Wage Range: $18.91 to $29.57
