Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories specializes in providing quick patient turnaround time and upholds high reliability and professionalism within our team. We seek a part-time evening courier to efficiently capture pertinent data and transport medical-related materials from internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to established schedules and protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any special instructions.
- Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork.
- Attend training sessions or meetings as required to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot any issues or challenges encountered during daily operations, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- Personal auto insurance is required.
- Clean driving record.
- Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with an adequate data plan.
- Federal Tax ID Number (EIN).
- Route flexibility.
- Previous Medical Courier experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years of driving experience in previous roles.
- Comfortable navigating routing software and GPS.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to operate a vehicle for long periods.
Ideal start date: March 27th or whenever we find the right fit.
License/Certification:
- Valid Driver's License (Required).
Work Location: Multiple Locations, Phoenix, AZ, and surrounding areas (On the road, in-person)
Job Type: around 18-24 hours per week to start, and hopefully lead to full-time.
Salary: Starting from $18.00 per hour.
Benefits:
- Company vehicle during working hours.
- Eligible for a bonus of 10% of monthly pay.
- If full-time, we offer benefits including Health, Vision, Dental insurance, and PTO.
- 8% Differential for the hours between 10 pm and 5 am, and weekends.

- This role starts at $18/hr and you are provided a company vehicle during the shift. There is an 8% differential between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am and on weekends. Couriers are also eligible for bonuses of up to 10% of their monthly pay depending on performance. Is this within your pay expectations? (yes or no)
- We are hiring for two part-time couriers, around 18-24 hours a week to start, and we hope both positions will lead to full-time. Insurance and PTO benefits are only available to full-time employees. The proposed schedules are 1. Monday to Wednesday 4 pm to 11 pm. 2. Thursday to Saturday 4 pm to 11 pm.
