At Discovery Ranch, we believe that through relationships and experiences, young individuals can develop their identity, discover success, and thrive. Our residential treatment center, nestled next to the beautiful Uinta National Forest in the southern Wasatch Range, provides a therapeutic setting for adolescent males with emotional, social, substance abuse, and behavioral issues. Our approach is relationship-based and we utilize experiential therapy to support the healing process of our students.

As the Medical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our integrated care services. You will directly work with our students, monitoring their health, providing health education, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and addressing any concerns they may have. Your responsibilities will also include managing communication regarding students' health with therapists, mentors, and parents.

We are looking for a nurse with a current nursing license in the state of Utah, who is passionate about working with adolescent populations. You should be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team-based environment. The ability to build trusting relationships with our students is crucial to their healing journey.

Discovery Ranch is committed to the well-being of our students and we offer a supportive work environment. This is a part-time 20-25 hour position with flexible hours, Monday to Friday, working hours would be between 8am-6pm. Compensation will be based on your license, ranging from $22-30 per hour. Medical Coordinator services would be split between our Mapleton and Provo Campus.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Current nursing license in the state of Utah, RN or LPN
• 21+ years of age or older
• Able to pass criminal investigation background check
• Able to pass motor vehicle record check
• Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
• 1st Aid & CPR certified

Preferred qualifications:

• BSN with 1 year of experience working in adolescent residential treatment
• Advanced certified life support certification
• Previous experience with psychiatric services and psychotropic medication
