Medical Caregiver

Homes for Independent Living (HIL) offers exciting challenges, personal growth opportunities, and a chance to make a difference while preserving a strong work-life balance. We are currently looking for compassionate, composed, and resourceful individuals to join our CBRF team in Hales Corners.

This group home with clients of both genders requires individuals comfortable providing skilled medical cares (including ostomy bags and g-tubes), personal cares, and assisting with daily living activities. Along with medical cares, qualified candidates need to be comfortable with client behaviors such as food seeking, noise making, and resistance to direction. Candidates for this program must be able to be confident and stern to redirect resistant behavior, have patience and still be a positive influence. Given the nature of the required cares and challenging behaviors we will provide you with ample training over your first month.

You will:

• Assure the health, safety, and well-being of all clients
• Perform all medical cares required for each client including; toileting, bathing, assistance feeding, g-tube care, ostomy care, safe movement, and medication administration
• Administer positive behavioral redirection without the use of physical or mechanical restraint
• Assist with food preparation, storage, and clean up
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, guardians, and staff
• Complete daily logs and report inconsistencies

• Extra $1/hr. on 2nd shift (2p-10p Mon-Fri)
• Extra $2/hr. on weekends (10p Fri-10p Sun)

You need:

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Compassion for client care and wellbeing
• Ability to prioritize multiple duties and responsibilities
• Driver’s license with 3 years of clean driving record (preferred)

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Rotating weekends

• Hales Corners, WI: Relocate before starting work (Required)
