- Provide compassionate nursing care to patients, adhering to the scope of nursing assistant duties under the guidance of a licensed nurse.
- Assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including tasks like bathing, grooming, and oral care.
- Swiftly respond to all call lights to ensure resident needs are met promptly.
- Report any observed changes in residents' conditions to the charge nurse.
- Ensure residents are prepared for meal times and provide assistance with feeding when needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, completing all required notes.
- Prepares, administers, and charts oral, topical, and suppositories drugs.
- Train and mentor newly hired Resident Care Assistants (RCAs) to ensure they adhere to best practices in a personal care home/skilled nursing setting.
AMAP Training Qualifications:
At Paramount Senior Living, we provide a pathway to grow within the organization. After successfully completing the initial 90-day period and meeting specific criteria, you will have the opportunity to be considered for the AMAP role.
During this probationary period, you will receive comprehensive training and guidance to excel in both nursing assistant and medication administration responsibilities. Upon meeting the established criteria, including but not limited to competency assessments and adherence to company policies, you will be eligible for consideration for the AMAP position.
- An active C.N.A license is preferred but not required.
- A positive demeanor and ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
- While long-term care experience is preferred, it is not required.
- Demonstrated ambition and compassion for caring for elderly individuals.
