Our physical therapy billing company, located in Bentonville, Arkansas, is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist who is self-motivated, personable, and loves problem-solving to manage payments, billing insurance, ERA's, denials, etc. It is a very busy but rewarding job that allows you to work on your own, help patients get better and allow our companies to thrive. Please DO NOT apply if you DO NOT have billing experience with health insurance companies (If you do not have first hand experience calling insurance companies, billing them directly with HCFA/CMS-1500 forms and understand how to use different diagnosis codes this job is NOT for you.)

Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

-Data entry into our EMR system

-Insurance Billing, Posting Payments, Remittance Advices, etc.

-Calling insurance companies about denials.

-Entering bills directly into insurance portals.

-Recording patient and insurance provider payments in a timely manner.

-Answering the phone and calling doctor's offices and insurance companies in a courteous manner.

Medical Billing Specialist Qualifications and Skills:

At least a high school degree

Must have at least one year of Medical Billing experience of health insurance providers with strong skills in pre-auth and benefit verification. It is preferable that you have formal education about billing.

Must be able to type at least 60 words per minute

Must have excellent organizational skills, strong capacity to communicate clearly with others and the ability to critically think through unfamiliar situations.

A friendly hint:

Serious applicants will not only submit their updated resume but also take the skills test. People who do not do these two things will automatically disqualify themselves. I must also emphasize that we need a seasoned Billing Specialist who has direct experience with billing insurance. Putting insurance information into a system is not enough and does not count.
