Duties:
-Assist the Business Manager with different tasks
-Make sure all employees adhere to company's policies and guidelines
-Delegate tasks to employees and manage customer's complaints
- Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities
- Provide leadership and supervision to team members
-Communicate with the Business Manager at all times
- Review and verify medical billing information for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- Resolve billing discrepancies and insurance payment issues
- Maintain patient billing records and update as necessary
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and disputes
- Stay up-to-date on medical coding and billing regulations
Requirements:
-Optical experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in medical billing or related field preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance processes
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy guidelines
