SalaryOverview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. Aside from performing as a Medical Assistant, we will also be cross-training to perform Front Desk/Receptionist tasks and responsibilities to be able to cover when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medication, and collecting specimens
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Update patient records and maintain accurate documentation
- Scheduling appointments and coordinate patient referrals
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions
- Perform basic life support techniques when necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
