Responsibilities:
- Front Desk, answer calls/e-mail/fax / Insurance and Demographics Intake
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals
- Take and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Provide patient education on various medical conditions and treatments
Experience:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support
- Proficiency in performing clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and collecting lab specimens
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical authorization
- Ability to operate X-ray equipment for limited scope procedures is a plus
