Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments, follow up appointments, handle billing, and manage patient records
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures,
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Collect patient medical history and payments and update electronic health records
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and self-care instructions
- Check inventory and order supplies
Requirements:
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting or related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
